On the evening of Feb. 16, civil rights activist and Morehouse alum, Shaun King, spoke at Xavier University of Louisiana. Those in attendance were students and members of the community.

King talked about current world news and its effects on the Black community as well as the future of Black youth in this country. King also referenced the documentary, 13th, and the increasing prison population in the U.S. His wittiness and impressive speaking ability gave the audience a great lecture and had them thinking about the lasting effects of topics such as police brutality and white supremacy.
